Baytowne at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

First time playing back nine. More challenging than the front. Fun coarse.

The Course was in terrible shape. Long shaggy greens. Bare spots on the fairways. Soaking wet, poor drainage.

While the greens were in fantastic shape, some of the existing cartpaths were in need of repair, and one should be added down #9.

This review isn’t much different than my last review. Enjoyed the round but the coarse was abit rough around the edges. All green needed to be cut, very slow, not a fan of having the over swinging on the green. Most tee boxes and traps ok but others abit rough. If you can get a Hot Deal, play the coarse but I wouldn’t pay full price.

Played pretty quickly even with cart path only due to recent rain. Course was in good condition and pretty challenging from the blue tees.

Foggy day and had the front nine to ourselves. Probably due to Cart Path Only restriction. Course was wet.

Enjoyed playing Baytowne at Sandestin. The experience at Sandestin is top notch and the coarse itself was pretty close. Enjoyed the overall layout but the conditions had me wanting abit more. The greens were very slow, thinking they didn't cut them that morning and that's my biggest pet peeve with a coarse of that caliber, greens should have abit of speed to them. Other than the issues of the green, the coarse was in pretty good condition. I'm thinking it was the time of year, would love to play Baytowne again but would need a good deal to tee it up again, glad I didn't pay full price.

The course was not busy. We were a 2 some and both had our receipts. The starter insisted that 1 of us had not paid. Asked to see our receipts for the 2nd time; stating he needed to see the date of the receipts. He even asked us both to go back into the clubhouse to verify payment.

Good layout. Too many sand traps . Should have rangers but all in all I enjoyed playing

My friend and I are from Columbus Ga. We met my brother from Ohio and his brother in law from Fla in Destin. played Baytowne and loved it. Course was a little wet and it was cold and a little windy but we had a great time. This was their first time here and they loved it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Planning on playing again before we go home.
