TPC Louisiana
About
TPC Louisiana is situated just 15 minutes from downtown New Orleans but you'll feel like you're at a private nature reserve. When the golf course opened in 2004, Golf Digest ranked it as the fourth best upscale public, course and GolfWeek consistently ranks it in their list of "Best Courses You Can Play." As part of the Audubon Golf Trail, it stretches across more than 250 acres of wetlands along the Mississippi River delta. The TPC Louisiana layout will challenge you with more than 100 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards on several holes. Five different sets of tees allow players of all skill levels to enjoy the course. The PGA Tour tees are the longest, measuring a whopping 7,400 yards. The golf course finishes with its signature hole. For your final test you'll face a tough par 5 with water along the entire right side.

Solid
Two of us played (local rate) on a very rainy day. Basically had the course to ourselves. Staff was excellent and course conditions did not disappoint. Very well kept and always in great shape. Greens were a little slower than normal, but they recently punched them last month. The ProShop was first class, and staff very friendly and accommodating. Will try to make our trip to TPC a regular occurrence. Rough was thick(as expected) defined fairways which played like premium carpet, greens rolled true and fairly challenging but little slow due to weather and recent aerification. Bunkers were well kept despite the weather and cart path was superb. We will definitely be back, thanks TPC!
Shock
Course had been aerated last week so the greens were a little slow & bumpy. Not many players so fortunate to play in less than 3 hours in this hot weather. Course is a good one just not as difficult as some other Dye courses. Would play here again
Enjoyable!
Enjoyed the course! Everything is in great shape! The resident and non-resident fee is ridiculous! It isn't worth the non-resident fee, but I get it. Driving range had very few bays so we had to wait untill the last minute to actually hit balls. Nevertheless, If you want to check it off of your list, you'll have fun! Pro Shop staff isn't as friendly as the everyone else, but so what! I wouldn't have asked for a better day at TPC Louisiana overall.
Do Not Play Here!
TPC Louisiana did not honor agreement of terms which included practice balls to warm-up with. The whole round was loud with maintenance workers, mowers and machines all around. The tee boxes were filled with Yesterdays broken tees. The trash cans were overflowing with Yesterdays undumped trash. Fairways covered with mushrooms. Divots in the greens. And “it’s too hard for us to keep logo balls in stock”. Do not play here!
My favorite golf course in New Orleans
By far my favorite golf course in New Orleans. The course was in perfect condition and the pace of play was great. I finished my round in around 3 hours and 20 minutes.
Good golf bad managing
Good golf course, Pete Dye is good.
No range balls
Cart path only…no range finders. That sucked
Pace of play was ok until it wasn’t. Jumped a few chads and all was good.
The problem:
Management
Waitress took a break after seating us, had to order at the bar. No biggie
Rushed off the tee at 1:50 pm when our tee time was 2:10. Barely got beverages in time and didn’t get any range balls. Marshall was just trying to manage tee times but don’t rush us like we’re in the wrong. Ruined the first hole.
Got done at 5:40 and went to buy a couple shirts after our round and the “registrar” was closed. We. Spent $600 at that point and can’t get service at 5:40?
Trashy service
It’s a shame bc the course was nice.
Staff was friendly but got everything wrong.
Great Course! But cart path only...
This is hands down the nicest course in the New Orleans area. Everything about the course is nice. Great practice areas as well. There are practice putting and chipping greens, as well as practice sand bunkers. Practice golf balls are also included when you play. The clubhouse is also very nice.
However, because the Zurich Classic in next month, so it was cart path only. I wish they would've made this clear ahead of time.
TPC Louisianna
Enjoyed the course especially for the time of year
Nice golf course
ProShop staff vey helpful and courteous. Was not busy during my time. Played vey quick. Course in great shape even for being dormant. Greens were nice although not super speedy.
Dye is not diabolical here
Good course for players who don’t play here often. Fairways are wide. Greens are not super tricky. Good practice facility. However the driving range for some reason is mats only, when they have acres of grass to hit from.
Best in New Orleans
You always know the conditions will be great as they prepare for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Staff has been great as well.
