About
Editor's Note: The Meadows Course is currently closed, due to the damage from Hurricane Michael. See Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course listing for the remaining 18 holes that are still open.
Bay Point offers two scenic championship courses that are situated right along the Emerald Coast overlooking the pristine waters of St. Andrews Bay. Both golf courses offer a unique experience but the same beautiful scenery. The Meadows Course is classic country club golf with a playability that endures day in and day out. The layout features tight fairways, numerous bunkers, and lakes that present different challenges every time you play. The course is also heavily wooded with trees lining the fairways. One feature of the design that never changes though, is that it always demands accuracy and careful strategy. At 6,913 yards, the golf course allows long hitters to really shine. Bay Point's two 18-hole courses are complemented by practice facilities that include an immaculately manicured putting green and driving range.

Meadow
Challenging, long and tight.
Good course design
Some holes replicate others. Course is in good condition but some greens are stressed from heat. They should improve as weather cools.
Driver Woes
I really like this course. It's a tough driving course. Tree lined fairways, reachable hazards make it a must to be in control of your driver.
excellent staff
The girl at the check in was by far the most professional and courteous person I have ever come across.
Ok Deal, But the Course!
I play here often and the HOt Deal was pretty decent. i realize we have had a lot of rain the last few weeks, but the course conditions were awful-Grass on tees and fairways was dead/dormant, like it was the middle of winter. most roughs have not been mown in weeks and a lot of standing water. It is time for the greens to be redone, they have outlived their expectancy.
Old school course
The course was an old school layout, not coming back to the clubhouse at the turn, so know that before you tee off. There is a cart girl, but only a few water coolers on the course. The greens were ok and slower than the Nicklaus course greens. The course was in just OK shape with some weeds on the tee boxes and around the green. The staff was excellent and very friendly and helpful with eveything. I would play here again, but not at full price.
Good course
Great layout! Course was in good shape for time of year.
Always a pleasant experience
I play this course 2-3 times a week. We live at Bay Point, love the Meadows and the lifestyle.
Meadows
Good course for all levels of players. Challenging holes. Friendly staff, beverage cart readily available at good intervals.
Great value if on golf now
Great layout and perfect greens. There were several older male/female couples groups that slowed pace of play but that's not the course'she fault.
High Handicappers Beware
The course is an exceptional value as a "Hot Deal". It has tight fairways lined with trees and numerous out of bounds areas. You will definitely need to bring you’re A or at least your B+ game to this course. If you are a long bomber though you will have a considerable easier chance of scoring par or better on several holes but only if you are willing to take the risk and cut the corners over the tall pines. Enjoy
Average at best
This was the second time we have played the course on a vacation trip. The last time (last year) I wrote a review stating several holes on the back 9 had overhanging trees that forced you to hit uncomfortable shots. Maybe that's how the course management likes it. The difference this year is several greens had rough spots in them. If you get a hot deal it's probably worth it but I would pay full or close to full price. From past experience the Nicklaus course is our favorite of the two.
Meadow
Course was in great shape, staff was friendly. I look forward to playing here the next time I visit the Panama City area.
I really like the tips they give of each hole on the scorecard. Valuable info.
Good track, greens need some work
Disclaimer, this was my 2nd round on this course, and I played the #2 tees the first time, and opted to play the #1 tees (tips) the 2nd time. HUGE difference between these two tees. It's like two totally different golf courses, and unless you bang it straight and long every time, AVOID the #1 tees. The starter actually tried to stop me from playing them, but I wanted to try it because the course from the #2 tees is not as challenging to someone of my level (7 handicap). All that said, Bay Point staff and facilities are excellent. They take great care of you from your car till you finish. The Meadows is the member's course and is very tight, compared to the Nicklaus course next door. The greens, compared to the Nicklaus are night and day. Nicklaus greens are fast and slick and in fantastic shape. Meadows greens are tolerable at best, and they need some work to meet a higher standard. I was advised by the staff that the grass on the Meadows greens is different than the Nicklaus. All that said, the greens are definitely playable, and they don't detract too awful much from the playing experience. Unfortunately I've now played the Nicklaus course, and it's hard to want to play the Meadows, once you've experienced the Nicklaus. And for $10 more, play the Nicklaus. I will say that the two courses are very different. The Meadows is much tighter and demands a straight shot all day long. Nicklaus is a bit more wide open, but with plenty of it's own unique challenges. I can recommend either course, and you won't be disappointed playing the Meadows, unless your have really high expectations for your putting surfaces. One final note, be prepared for distractions off and on the golf course. There are houses on every hole, and everyone is in the pool having a good time. You play a lot of holes along the road, so there are cars and traffic everywhere. Lots of noise to take away from the experience, but not a deal breaker.
Bay Point Meadows
Very good condition and nice layout. Slow greens run true and are also in good shape. Had the place to ourselves midweek. Would play again on next vacation.
Enjoyable round
The course winds nicely through housing & resort community, with lots of trees. It's not real long, but neither am I, so that worked out well. Fairways and greens were in good condition. Had a good time.
Challenging
Lots of old beautiful trees making course management critical.
Cheap for a reason
Course was rough. Very little grass on fairways. Greens were good.
At Golfnow the rate was worth iit
Nice course, but the driving range was better. I would play this time of year again, but only at a reduced rate from what the course itself offers
