Abita Springs Golf & Country Club
About
Abita Springs Golf Club in St. Tammany Parish is one of the area's best kept secrets. It offers one of the best golf values as well as a challenging round. Good Greens
The course was fun and challenging on numerous holes. Tight fairways make for difficult tee shots. The fairways were pretty good considering its March and the greens were great. Had a lot of fun and will go back.
Condition of the course POOR
Course need a lot of work. Fairways are bad. need grass
This course charges you an extra fee just to use your credit card! i will not go back until they change this policy!
I think it is rediculous that a customer should have to pay a fee in order to buy a business's goods or services! I will not pay such a fee again! I will not be back unless they change this policy! The course was fair in difficulty and they had a few fairways that hold water! For the price it is not a horrible course but I'm not making that drive to be hit with extra fees!
Its a challenging golf course
This is a fun golf course. Very laid back. Somewhat challenging at times. Nicely maintained.
Horrible Conditions
It was like playing in a swamp. Horrible drainage. The clubhouse is like a farmhouse on a cow pasture.
Best course on the northshore for the money!
It has some narrow holes that will add a few strokes to your score card. Very fun course and pricing is perfect unlike a lot of other over priced courses.
This course is a good test using all clubs in bag.
The greens are the course's best feature and are always in good shape. The tees could use some work and the fairways are average to above average. The rates are some of the best in the area. The course does not drain well so it is best not to play after moderate rainfall.
interesting adventure
The course is a very good value. But they need to manage the play. On Friday morning after Thanksgiving they had 5 and 6 yr old kids playing with their dads.....the kids were whiffing the ball the whole time and of course having to take extras shots......the group behind them was a group of of 5 --- yes five.......everyone had a tee time supposedly....but we learned after we went to the range and practiced putting, the groups were being told just get in line for the 1st tee,,,,needless to say, we just had to get in line...which meant the 4th group waiting.......this surely could have been managed better......
This course can be challenging.
I was thoroughly impressed with the greens. They were at times very difficult to not only read, but also make putts.
Nice greens
Not bad. Greens were as good as some of the more expensive courses in the area. Well thought out. Everything you could ask for. Clubhouse has a good vibe. I will definitely return.
Greens were in excellent condition
I played Abita Springs 4 years ago and it was a goat ranch! Yesterday I played there again for the first time and boy was I pleasently surprised. The greens have been redone and putted perfectly. The fairways have a lot more grass than they did in the past. I highly recommend this course for the price!
Nice Place to Play
Abita generally is a good place to play, challenging holes, nice layout, and a reasonable price.
This course is very good for a golfer like me!
Abita golf course is one of the best golf courses I've played at in a while! Not too hard and not too easy! Just right!
