Bayou oaks
It’s a shame this course isn’t as grest as it should be. Its absolutely wide open. Some spots you can have a target 100 yards wide. Other than a couple holes, even from the tips, the bunkers are poorly placed. The greens need work-furry and slow and bumpy. The patrons do not know where the sand bottles are and do not know how to fix a pitch mark. So much potential, so little payout. If you pay more than $50 to play, it just isn’t worth it. Lakewood is almost the only option in the price range. English turn is at the same price point but its conditions are even worse right now. Disappointed in the state of golf in the big easy. Its TPC and then everyone else. Gotta drive an hour to Mississippi to even remotely flirt with a PGA caliber course. Such a disappointment. But without options, I will be back when the price is right. Lack of options.
Easy hard course
As dat as golf in the area, this is a wide ipen track that requires you to be able to use your tange finder. The gps is never accirate, the course is always slow play, and the greens look faster than they are. Limited options on public courses here so enjoy.
Enjoyed the round
Course was pretty much straight forward and we played cart path only due to heavy rains. Overall in good shape and would play again w golf now discount.
Bayou Golf
Had a great time on a great course. Will be back next time I’m in NOLA. Saw my first gator on a golf course which was cool.
A Very Pedestrian Layout
A perfect example of trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. This is a $20 muni well maintained.
Not worth the money unless you pay 20$
The course itself was well maintained! Wide open fairways and beautiful greens. However we paid over 100$ Each (2 players) to play and for that price it made the day not worth it. There was no assistance at bag drop.. There was no cart girl.. ever. The restaurant to grab a bite to eat was closed. The GPS in the cart never worked. The course Marshall kept telling us to “hurry up or pick up and move on”!! When it was not us slowing the pace. It was others that we had no control over cause they were not playing with us. The staff was not friendly at all and gave us the wrong score cards for our course so with no GPS and wrong score cards it made play almost impossible! I get that it was Black Friday but knowing this and knowing how busy they were going to be you would have thought they would have been more prepared! Don’t waste your money. Play elsewhere that you will get more bang for your buck and friendlier service.
Good, not great
At the price point, I expected this course to be more exclusive. It was basically a well-maintained municipal course. The staff was nice. The greens were in good shape, but very sandy. The course design is really basic. This is not a bad course, but don’t expect a high end experience as the price might indicate.
Wonderful Shape
CP South is in excellent shape with greens running fast. Really enjoyed the course and the pace of play. Will play again soon. Great value for the $.
