Oak Harbor Golf Club
About
Situated just 25 minutes outside of New Orleans, Oak Harbor Golf Club is one of the area's most popular courses. The course is a challenging test without being too intimidating for beginners. It offers risk-reward holes that will appeal to low and high handicappers alike. Lee Schmidt, who worked closely with Pete Dye, designed the golf course, and incorporated many of Dye's signature features into the design. Sculpted mounding and native grasses frame the generous landing areas and you'll even find Dye's trademark railroad ties framing the greens. There are also several lakes that come into play throughout. Oak Harbor Golf Club's seventh and 15th holes are particularly notable for their intimidating tee shots over water. If you strategize carefully, the four par 5s provide some birdie opportunities but you'll have to carefully navigate through a combination of water, traps, and undulations.

Good community golf course.
Nice layout. Water comes into play often. Good challenge for higher handicaps. Will play again.
Only good things were the greens
Fairways and tee boxes were in horrible condition. The only thing saving this course are the greens.
Declining conditions
I used to love this course. It's in terrible shape. There's a drought but it doesn't look like they're running their sprinklers. Sand and hardpan all over the course. Tee boxes are straight sand too often. Same to see it slip.
Dried out
The course is dry and hard.
Greens rolled pretty smooth but there were lines on all of the greens.
A good deal for the price but I really wish they would get some dirt and fill in all the 1-3 foot deep holes in the middle of the fairways. Greens are in great condition.
Great course
Been playing this course for years. Best course on the north side of the lake for sure. Though tee time it’s a great deal. On Tuesday all day is senior day 30 dollars all day Luv to play here
Excellent greens!
Fairways good. Lots are under repair. Tee boxes need some love. Grass around the course in miscellaneous area need some love but the greens completely made up for all
Needs a little work.
Greens were in excellent shapes. Fairways were good enough because of drought. Tee boxes need some work and rough needed to be cut in order to facilitate faster play, finding balls.
