Tiger Point Golf Club
About
The course at Tiger Point runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, offering panoramic ocean views. The course was designed in the tradition of classic Scottish links golf courses but with the added feature of water, which comes into play on 14 holes. A generous sprinkling of towering southern pines sets the layout apart as well. Originally a nine-hole course, another nine was added in 1984 and in 1989, then was another redesign of the golf course. Since then, it has becomes one of the Pensacola area's most treasured courses. Tiger Point also offers a driving range, practice bunker, two practice greens, and a chipping green.

Water, Water Everywhere!
Very nice golf course, and to me, very difficult. I did not hit the ball well and shot an 88 (I have an 8 handicap).
There is water on 14 of 18 holes. I lost 3 balls and would have lost a 4th if not for my handy 20-foot retriever. But don't let the difficulty scare you away -- this course was in very good condition and is a fun challenge. Local knowledge also helps, so if you get a chance to play with a local, do so.
The views from the 4th tee box and 7th green toward the Santa Rosa Sound are very scenic.
Pace of play was great -- I teed off at 2:00 PM by myself and played in 3 hours flat. Clubhouse staff was friendly; all in all a good golf experience, my high score notwithstanding.
Tiger Point is back.
We vacation every September in Pensacola, and Tiger Point is always a must play for us... I was a bit skeptical this year as the spring/early summer reviews were awful... The reviews improved late summer, so we gave Tiger a shot... With the exception of a some weeds in a few of the fairways (which really didn't come into play), the course was in beautiful condition... Highly recommended...
Excellent Course
Finally Tiger is back to its former glory. It was a pleasure to see all the greens and fairways fully grown in and a plush green again. Couldn't of had a better experience except for not making any birdies the day I played. But that's on me, not the course.
Incredible rebound
We have been playing this course for years. We were avid golfers on the West course before the City of Gulf Breeze bought the course because it was the easier of the two. We have seen the course at some of its best condition and worst condition. They are doing a great job of bringing the course back to the condition that it used to be! The greens are back close to flawless. It is a links style course that punishes you for missing the fairway, and it is a tough/fun course. There is water in play on SEVERAL holes. The course continues to get better, and you are missing out if you don't play this incredible piece of property. The bunkers need some love, but you will see them out working on them every round. There is rumor/it shows that they hired a new superintendent. Whatever they are doing, it was working great. The staff is good, and the cart girl has reasonable prices. We have switched back to playing Tiger Point exclusively. Stop by Walmart and buy some balls before you play!!
Picturesque views
Staff is great. The course is well taken care of and the layout is superb. Water comes into play on nearly every hole, but they give you plenty of fairway to avoid it. Hole 3&4 have great views of the sound and the marsh areas are well preserved.
Much Improvement in course condition
As a regular player at Tiger Point, I am pleased to see that the condition of the course has improved dramatically over the past 6 weeks. All greens are in excellent shape throughout and fairway grass on all holes has mostly recovered from the earlier watering issues back in April and May. Still a couple of thin / weeding spots on a few fair ways but much improved. The rough is a bit too deep but they were out mowing it as we were playing. Good time of year to play as the course was wide open. Two of us played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hours.
Solid Course
I always enjoy playing Tiger Point. I'm a local and I found a really good price on GolfNow. The greens are back in good shape but the rest of the course is still being brought back into good shape. It's a great layout and a good value for the price. I will continue to play here regularly.
You're kidding me!!!
Coirse in decent shape. Bermuda rough is penalizing. Biggest bummer... $ 4 for a beer from the drink cart??? That's $ 24 for a six-pack! What do they think they are, an airline???
Great course
Great course. Challenging but fair. Great price. Will definitely go back.
Ok
Course was ok fairways were a little off greens good. I left a new pair of ray bans in my cart and was told they would let me know but never heard back , so disappointed about that. Overall it is not that far to Destin.

Fair course
I read the reviews from others and most were pretty accurate about the course conditions. Unless you hit the ball dead center of the fairway then you will be playing your second shot off of black patches. Most of the greens were ok, and the speeds varied drastically hole to hole, but it did rain for about 30 minutes so that's excusable. I only paid $16 to play 18 holes so I'm not too disappointed; if I would've paid the full price then I would've been upset. The cart staff did scold us because apparently I'm allowed to take the cart way across the parking lot to the driving range, but not 5 feet to my car to load and unload the clubs, pretty dumb. Overall a decent first time.
Pretty Good
I see some recent reviews that are not that positive. I played this course 7/23/16 and it is looking pretty good IMO. I think they have new Course Management and are starting to get this course up to par. I will play here again.
Greens
Nice greens, bad tee boxes and fairways. course needs alot of work
Nice track
Greens R great love the layout definitely have seen it in better condition needs some TLC
Nice location but course needs some work
Course could use some TLC on many fairways. Bunkers could be hard in places. Not bad for the price we got on golf now.com.
Great Layout--Needs TLC
Tiger Point could really be a gem of a course, but needs a lot of TLC to get there. The hole layouts are great--challenging, with a lot of water, and a couple with nice views of the surrounding bay/ocean. I am staying in Navarre Beach, so this course was not much of a drive, and I paid a FL resident twilight rate of $19.95 for 18 holes. I played as a 2-some with my boyfriend, who is a 16 handicap (we finished 16 holes before it got too dark). The staffers were very friendly, warned us there was a tournament finishing up, so we could start on any clear hole (we started on 1).
Overall, the course was in rough shape, some fairways recently aerated and muddy, grass dying out on some of the holes, greens a little bumpy--I think the place needs a re-grassing on at least 14 of the holes. That said, there were several holes on the back 9 that were in great shape--smooth, green fairways, no burnouts, decent greens. Maybe those holes were not affected by the "irrigation issue."
The clubhouse looked nice and probably recently updated--we didn't eat there because it was crowded from the tournament. My one BIG pet peeve: the only restroom we found on the course was LOCKED, and it was only 6:00 pm--no door code provided. C'mon management, is it really OK to make a lady have to squat in the brambles with snakes and alligators?
This place needs some TLC
Great lay out but most of the fairways grass was not cut and some were brown from no water. The greens were not cut and some had sand on them. This place needs help its the closest to Pensacola Beach and very convenient to get to.
Rough track
We were told when we checked in that they had just had an irrigation issue taken care of. The entire course was in REALLY rough shape. Possibly the slowest greens I've ever played. No bunkers were raked. Nowhere to get drinks/snacks on the course. The layout was great. Some challenging holes with great views.
Poor fairways
We found the couse on line while we were on vacation it was about 40 min away and had a island green that drew our attition. When we arrived the attendant saw us look at #1 and #18 fairways and immediately they told me that they had problems with the sprinkler system and that #1 and #18 were the worst effected and the rest of the course was in good condition.
This was far from the truth.
16 fairways were in poor condition to say the least. Also the problem wiith the fairway should have been reported to golf now to let potental customers know so they could decide if the course condition were worth booking.
The Course lay out was nice but will not return due to we went out of our way to play this course and they were not very truthful about the conditions of the course up front.
Disappointing
Expected more for $40. Nice layout but very poor conditions. Greens, fairways, rough and tee boxes all with numerous bare spots. Cart paths in need of maintenance. Not worth the money.
